The “Path to College” Workshop was held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Oakland Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Participants were given valuable information on how to find and apply for scholarships. Pastor Larry Fox lead with an opening prayer. The panelists were: LaMont Jones, Ed.D. and Amos Jones, Esq. The moderator for this event was Iburia Hall-Haynes, Ph.D. An update on the programs and purpose of the Vickie Belk Scholarship Foundation (VBSF) was given by Aprile Belk, Chair of VBSF.

Some of the Board members in attendance were Aprile Belk, Chair, Lena Rainey, Vice-Chair, Karen Terrell- Hargrove, Secretary, Isaac King, Treasurer, Leonardine Coffman, Lesa Moore, Pearl Parrish, and Nicole Price. The current Board has served for more than 20 years.
